CNBC’s Shep Smith reports the Pope has issued a historic apology to Canadian indigenous survivors of abuse suffered at the hands of the Catholic church. The Pope said the abuse was ‘deplorable’ and begged for forgiveness. He hopes to go to Canada over the summer to issue his apology in person.
