The tragic case of Gabby Petito has the internet obsessed. And some are saying it’s not a matter of if, but when Hollywood will pick up the true crime story. From Truman Capote’s “In Cold Blood,” to the OJ Simpson trial to the Murdaugh family murders, we’ve long been voyeurs of real life because it’s stranger than fiction, CNN entertainment reporter Lisa Respers France says. In this week’s episode of “Pop Off,” she talks to the cast of Starz’s “BMF” series, which is based on the real-life crime syndicate, the Black Mafia Family. 50 Cent is the executive producer of the show, and it stars rapper Lil Meech, son of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory.
