Washington Today (6-15-23): President Biden says Ticketmaster, SeatGeek to disclose fees up front

President Biden says Ticketmaster and SeatGeek have agreed to make it easier to find all-in, upfront pricing, including any service charge or other fees. President says it a "win for consumers", as he meets with executives of those and other private-sector companies as part of his drive against hidden fees, what the president calls "junk fees".

Miami's Republican Mayor Francis Suarez announces he is running for President, saying, "I think I have a different message than what other candidates have. I’m generational.” People want someone who can unify them.”

U.S. House passes a bill to overturn a Supreme Court precedent that that says courts should defer to executive branch agencies' interpretation of laws when they write regulations. It is known as "Chevron deference".

Senate Transportation Committee postpones its markup of a Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization bill over disagreements about pilot training and whether to expand the number of long-distance flights allowed out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
