Washington Today (6-16-23): DOJ finds Minneapolis Police violated rights of Black & Native Americans

A Justice Department civil rights investigation launched after the killing of George Floyd by police, concludes the Minneapolis police department engaged in a pattern of violating the constitutional rights of Black and Native Americans. We hear from Attorney General Merrick Garland on the report and talk with USA Today Justice Department reporter Bart Jansen (4).

President Joe Biden travels to Hartford, Connecticut to mark the anniversary of his signing a Bipartisan gun safety law, but also calling on congress do to more, including banning assault weapons to prevent more mass shootings.
