Washington Today (6-30-23): Supreme Court blocks President's student loan forgiveness plan

Supreme Court strikes down President Joe Biden's plan for student loan debt forgiveness…. ruling in a 6-3 decision that a law the president relied on does not give him the authorization to cancel up to $20,000 in student loans for those who qualify.

In another case, the Supreme Court also rules 6-3 in favor of a Christian graphic designer in Colorado who refused to create same-sex wedding websites, saying doing so would violate her right to free speech, even though Colorado has an anti-discrimination law protecting sexual orientation.
