Washington Today (8-8-23): President Biden name new 1M acre nat'l monument near Grand Canyon

President Joe Biden announces a new national monument to preserve almost one million acres around the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. Part of that preservation is limiting uranium mining.

Former President Donald Trump, who is seeking the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, campaigns in Windham, New Hampshire, focusing on veterans' issues, but also addressing the criminal indictments he is facing, the latest charging him with trying to illegally overturn his loss to Joe Biden in 2020.
