North Carolina has been a target for Democrats this election cycle, with Democratic Senate candidate Cheri Beasley out fundraising and outspending her Republican opponent, Congressman Ted Budd, seeking to flip this seat blue. While the Beasley campaign pushes to sway voters in the state, Budd has consistently outpolled Beasley throughout the race, suggesting he may have a slight edge in the election to replace retiring Republican Senator Richard Burr. GOP Congressman Ted Budd of North Carolina’s 13th District joins to explain how he sees inflation severely hurting his constituents ahead of the midterms, how he would address rising crime by supporting border control and law enforcement, and he later shares why he believes his America-first campaign is resonating with voters.

In a speech he gave last weekend, Chinese President Xi Jinping addressed that he would not rule out the reunification of Taiwan by force, suggesting Beijing will speed up plans to annex the island. Taiwan currently recognizes itself as independent from China with its own government and military. Congressman Michael Waltz (R-FL) recently returned from a trip to Taiwan and voiced concerns that the United States is running out of time to deter a Chinese invasion.
