The devastating fires on the Hawaiian island of Maui are a shocking tragedy on their own, but the cultural and historical significance of the town of Lahaina to native Hawaiians makes what has been lost there especially gutting. Ty Kawika Tengan, professor of anthropology at the University of Hawaii, talks with Alex Wagner about the special significance.
