Lawmakers are breathing sighs of relief after reaching an agreement to keep the government funded until mid-November. But a major sticking point remains: there is no aid to Ukraine. According to history professor Ruth Ben-Ghiat, the Republican opposition to funding Ukraine’s fight against Russia reveals the party’s disregard for Democracy.
