ICE shoots and kills man amid ramped up raids in Illinois

Illinois Democrats are demanding transparency after an officer fatally shot a person who allegedly injured an ICE agent during an immigration arrest in the Chicago area Friday, according to federal immigration officials.
In a statement Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said the officer, “followed his training, used appropriate force, and properly enforced the law to protect the public and law enforcement.”
