For the second time in four months, FBI Director Kash Patel was grilled by Democratic senators about his leadership of the bureau. The hourslong, partisan hearing Tuesday was similar to Patel’s previous appearances on Capitol Hill. There were contentious moments as Democrats pressed him on the firings of agents involved in investigations of President Donald Trump and whether the FBI would interfere in the midterm elections.
