The Senate has a stacked agenda on the eve on their five-week recess that is set to start tomorrow. Majority Leader John Thune says a stopgap funding bill to avoid a shutdown on October 1st is his top priority, but Republicans also want to squeeze in a confirmation vote on Todd Blanche to be the permanent Attorney General.
