Trump 'will do anything' to interfere with midterm elections, says Sen. Alex Padilla

Donald Trump's administration has asked the Supreme Court to revive key parts of his elections executive order that would restrict mail-in voting ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. California Democratic Senator Alex Padilla warned MS NOW's Lawrence O'Donnell that Trump is "fixated" on mail-in voting there being no widespread evidence of fraud. Sen. Padilla says his newly introduced SHIELD Our Elections Act, which is designed to strengthen protections against federal election interference and safeguard ballots from improper seizure, is one way to counter Trump's attempts to change voting rules.
