Spectacular footage of Iceland volcano eruption

Footage filmed from a helicopter shows a volcano on the Reykjanes peninsula in Iceland erupting, after weeks of seismic activity prompted the evacuation of a nearby town. In a statement made December 19, Iceland’s government said the fissure opening is almost 4 kilometres long, but the eruption does not pose a threat to life.
