During a press conference in New Jersey, Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) explained the thousands of dollars found by federal investigators in a suit of his, saying that it was money he withdrew from a savings account, part of a savings habit he said he developed after his family faced persecution in Cuba. He said other details would be revealed in court.
