House Republicans nominate Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) for House Speaker, but the second-place finisher in the secret ballot, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) received almost as many votes.
And since to be elected speaker, it take an absolute majority vote of House Members, not just Republicans, a House floor vote has not yet taken place.
We hear from Rep. Scalise, plus Republicans who plan to vote for him on the House floor, and one who is not quite ready to do that. And we will speak with The Hill's House reporter Emily Brooks. (10)
