Washington Today (7-26-23): Hunter Biden pleads not guilty after judge questions plea deal

A federal judge puts on hold the plea deal in Hunter Biden's criminal case of failure to pay income tax and illegally possessing a firearm as a drug user, as she raised concerns about terms of the agreement, specifically language about not prosecuting Hunter Biden in the future, after federal prosecutors confirmed the president's son is still under federal investigation.
Hunter Biden then pleaded "not guilty" to the charges.

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell announces another interest rate increase, a quarter of a percent. It's the 11th rate hike in 17 months designed to bring down high inflation.
