Washington Today (8-14-23): FEMA Admin. Criswell gives update on response to Maui wildfires

FEMA Admin Deanne Criswell says she believes the government has enough resources and staff on the ground in Maui, Hawaii to respond to the wildfires that have killed at least 100 people and caused billions of dollars in damage.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre is asked about criticism that President Joe Biden has been on vacation the past few days while the wildfires ravaged Maui.

A grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia begins hearing testimony that could lead to indictments against former President Donald Trump for allegedly trying to reverse his loss in the 2020 presidential election outcome in the state.
